Is Mr. Karr right? Douglas says Great Content always rises to the top, allowing almost anyone to compete for attention in a crowded/noisy space. I like what he says about regarding what it takes to blog successfully, but I don't think he's exactly right. Do you? http://amplify.com/u/jyun http://amplify.com/u/jyv0

Secret To Hacking Your Life

Andrew Shotland wrote about Tim Ferris' new book, The 4 Hour Body, and shared this gem. It was found among the many 5 Star pre-emptive reviews for the Ferris book on Amazon. I love it because it falls right in with my belief that the secret trick/magic pill/wonder hack is that there is no secret trick/magic pill/wonder hack. Nice catch, Andrew!

Review the Reviews

If you are swayed by reviews then you don’t even need to read the book. Testimonials are the best form of marketing there is. Take a second and figure out how there are over 100 reviews of 5 stars before the book was released. I know you WANT to believe there is a way to “hack” your life… and that is truly the root of your problems.

Review of Tassimo T20 by my brother

Seems my brother is now reviewing coffee makers (because he doesn't have anything else to do). Bit ironic since it's actually his two brothers, myself and the Cincy Bean Boy (you can pick us out at www.thebeanbros.com) are the ones who have actually worked in the coffee industry.

I'm a fan of the French Press approach but for the sake of convenience I've gone the Keurig route. I'm a bit skeptical about the Tassimo coffee bot, but perhaps he'll let me try it out when he gets back from his travel blogging jaunt.

I Read One of the Best Books on Twitter

Actually, I read and reviewed what turned out to be one of the best books on Twitter in 2010. Written by @kyleplacy , this is easily the best book on Twitter I've read.

Recently, I received a copy of Twitter Marketing for Dummies to review. I’m a fan of the Dummies guides. They often contain lists that are worth the price of the book (I like shortcuts.) Having said that, I’ve learned to be a bit suspicious of the “experts.” Expertise tends to be overrated and most often unnecessary. However, if there are Twitter experts, then Kyle Lacy is one.

Colts Blues

Peyton isn't gone yet but I'm starting to get the blues about our boys in blue. Clearly Peyton is still a great quarterback, and the Colts are very competitive, but we can see things starting to deteriorate.

Even though Peyton has a couple of years left in him, barring injury, the supporting offensive cast isn't up to snuff. I just don't see how they can build anything around him in the short time he has left in his career. (I'm assuming he won't Favre things up.)

It has been an amazing run. The memories will be comforting during the oncoming lean years.
